This interlude brought to you by the Creston Chamber of Commerce

A few of the things we've been doing the past 2 weeks while in Creston

It's Creston so I had to try an apple.
I took Mom and Dad bowling with these funny little balls.
Unfortunately even though the scores are supposed to be higher in 5 pin, Mom still couldn't break 100.
This outfit is so awesome it's beyond the focusing capability of the camera.
The royal wedding was very exciting. What do you think of my fascinator?

Ainsworth Hot Springs

Mom and me waiting for the ferry.
Yay, I get to ride upfront.
Pretty Kootenay Lake.
My first hot spring.
I'm giving Dad a little swimming advice.
Yeah! Hot water. I just can't figure out why I like this so much.  Must be genetic.
Our new camera works underwater.
I was working on my 100 metre butterfly...
but then I got some water in my nose.

Lava, snow, and Missoula

AAACCCKKKK I broke the map yesterday, working on fixing it.

Mommy and I at Craters of the Moon NP. It was really windy.
I'm standing on lava. HOT!!!
Daddy and I like Missoula.
And I got to meet Kate.
Back on the road. The parents tell me that the white stuff falling out of the sky is snow. Crazy.

Backway through Nevada

And I woke up in Vegas, baby.

The Joshua trees were in bloom on Highway 93.

Really close close up of the flowers.

A Joshua tree flower bud. It was 6 inches wide.

Family driving portrait.

It was a long straight road...

So I took a nap.

The ride got a little long, so I entertained the parents by singing along to my favorite songs. I love a good bagpipe.

Bye Bye Blythe

Grandpa stopped by on his way to Los Angeles. We had breakfast with him very, very early.
The outside of the Hoover Dam.
Power generating turbines inside the Hoover Dam.
Look, we're inside the Hoover Dam.
Dad and I inside a power turbine. OK it was a model but it was still pretty cool.

Mom and Dad say this is Art Deco, what ever that is.
I'm bigger than the Hoover Dam. This model was really cool but they didn't let us look at it very long.
If you look close, Mom is holding me so tight there's no blood getting to my foot.
The new bridge below the dam.
That was so exciting I fell asleep.

Dad's day off

Dad had today off so we decided to go back up to the intaglios. Just after we got there a couple of cars pulled up with a bunch of the other archaeologists that Dad works with. Apparently everyone else had the same idea of what to do on their day off.

These intaglios are huge.

Even when I got on Mommy's shoulders, I was still smaller than the rock man.

Whew, it's windier here than in Wyoming.

Pretty cactus flower

I don't know what kind of flowers these are, but I like them.

Time for this old farmer to head home.

Showing off my standing skills.

Walking in the desert

A family portrait-see Mom's in the reflection of Dad's glasses.

Here's what we saw:

Paleo dirt

And pretty flowers

Trip to Grandma's

Great Uncle Bernie came to visit so we BBQd.

He took a picture of the river, don't know why Mom hasn't bothered to do that.

Yesterday we went to the coast to see Great Grandma Maas. She needed some new flowers for her patio.

I told Grandma lots of stories and she told me some great jokes.

Uncle Bernie, Grandma, Mom and I.
