Boise revisit

Since we had a long weekend (and hotels were all booked in Pendleton because of a rodeo) we decided to head back to Boise. Mostly we went for the food. We had pho, Basque sandwiches, brunch at a distillery, and Thai. Yet again the waitresses in the Thai restaurant couldn't resist me, they kept playing with me and carrying mearound the restaurant.

We also picked up Mom's new ring. It has a star sapphire because that's my birthstone. Mom and Dad ordered the ring when we were in Boise before and got a call saying the ring was ready. But we couldn't call back to tell them that we would be there Saturday because the shop name and number got smugged on the receipt. We got to Boise just after 3 and went straight to the jewelry store but it was closed. BUT there was a guy standing in front of the store that we recognized from before. So Mom and Dad started talking to him, turns out he had closed the store for the day but had locked his keys inside so someone else was coming back to let him back in. Lucky for us, huh?

Pendleton

We're in Pendleton, OR for a few weeks. It's like a smaller Cheyenne so feeling pretty comfortable. There's even a great children's museum that we've gone to twice. Today there were lots of other kids to play with even some little girls that were just a few months older than me. But Mom forgot to bring the camera so no pictures.

Enjoying one of our hangouts here, Prodigal Son Brewery.

Lounging in our room looking as cute as possible.

We drove out to Vale, the first town in Oregon along the Oregon trail.

Wagon ruts

Then we had to get back to the hotel before game 4 started.

When in Idaho, find a hot spring

The normal soaking pools under the hot waterfall were flooded out.
It was cold in the rain. Where's some hot water we can get into?
Aaahhhhh, that's better.
Family of happy feet.
Ooohhh, slimey

I will slap that water. HaYa

Green day in Boise

Be bery bery quiet, we're hunting mommy wabbits.
I liked this electric car but Dad thinks I'm driving too fast.
Grandpa, this company makes backyard stream hyroelectric turbines. Mom thought of the stream up at Rainbow Valley when she saw this.
Dad and I soaking up all that solar energy. We like Boise.
Outside dining. Did we mention we like Boise.
We had so much fun today, I didn't want it to end. I almost escaped from my bed, but then I fell asleep.

My first art experience

Uncle Doyle had already made his latest sculpture but wasn't sure which way was up.
Ok now rolling it into place.
Steel is heavy.
Aunt Janet project manages.
Time to weld it into place.

I helped check the welds.
Needs a bit more.

Good job Uncle Doyle, those are some beautiful welds.
Hard work rewarded with sushi. Uncle Doyle was giving me chopsticks, Aunt Janet seems to think this isn't a good idea.
Wow look at all those plates, I was hungry.

Naked cousins?

It was sunny and warm so the doggy cousins and I went outside. Stella, Hershey and I shared the cushion while Stretch stood guard.
Stella feels funny.
Stretch and I almost became buddies even after I accidentally pinched him. He's a good cousin.
My oldest cousin Hershey is pretty nice too.

Pretty day for a pretty drive

We drove from Creston to Boardman, OR so had a really short day getting from Boardman to Hillsboro.  Mom and Dad had never taken the old US 30 scenic drives off the interstate and today seemed like a great chance to do that.  This is one of the loopy bits of the road climbing out of the gorge.
One of the many waterfalls along old US 30.
Mom and I on top of the world.
Crown Point Vista House is a really cool building.
The river is a really long way down.
Panorama of the gorge view from on top of the Vista House.
Taking in the scenery with Dad.
In Portland and acting cute...
...then I attack.
Who drank my beer???
Grandma, look a food cart for you.  It was on Burnside and 8th when we saw it.

Last day in Creston

Today we went for a walk in Summit Creek park.

Mom showed me a cool rock with something crawling on it.

Here's the little creepy crawler.

I identified it as a mayfly larva.

I rode the Mom horse for a while.

Look she has reins.

Turn left Mommy.

Looking up Kootenay Valley towards the lake.

Dad and I on the bridge over Summit Creek.
