We went to the Ten Thousand Island area of Everglades National Park.
It doesn't look like the typical swampy Everglades.
These cormorants are sitting on the trail signs. Down here there are trails for canoes too.
I don't think these White Pelicans are following the trail signs on the way to Yellowstone.
This was nice but I wanted to see swamp.
This is looking more swampy.
An egret
A tri-colored heron
Some really big cypress trees.
This cypress tree was killed by a strangler fig.
More swamp plants
This swamp is kind of boring, so I took a nap.
When I was told we were going to the Everglades I expected to see some alligators, so I asked to be dressed appropriately.
I looked really hard.
THERE'S A GATOR!
That made me happy.
Time to go home. Peace out.
